This includes working with intelligent controllers, lighting systems, security systems, audio/video systems, water management, to any powered device creating a fully integrated home network. Prepare to
  • Obtain the skills necessary to plan, design and integrate home technologies including computer­ controlled lighting, security, home theater, telecommunications, and home networking.
  • Program home controllers, computers, and complex remote controllers to activate and access technology throughout the home.
  • Develop computer skills in the area of systems integration to interconnect a wide variety of devices.
  • Set up a home security system, installing components like sensors, infrared/motion detectors, cameras, and control keypads.
