Study Abroad

 

One of the most memorable aspects to a college education is the chance to study and live in another country.  Coordinated through the Office of Student Affairs, we offer Study Abroad Programs to London, England -Vienna, Austria - Florence, Italy - Madrid, Spain - Hamburg, Germany.  Contact the Office of Student Affairs and find out if you’re eligible to participate in either program and get more information.

Hamburg, Germany - G18 Technical College

Programs take place during the Summer I quarter for six weeks

Application Deadline Date:  January 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: February 28, 2010
Requirements:
  • Computer Studies students only
  • Sophmore level or higher
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity
  • Student Advisor recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

London, England – Regent’s College in London

Program takes place during the Summer I quarter for six weeks

Application Deadline Date: January 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: February 28, 2010
Requirements:

  • Sophomore level or higher
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity during the program at Robert Morris University
  • Student Advisor recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

London, England – Regent’s College in London

 Program takes place during the Summer II quarter for 15 days

Application Deadline Date: March 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: February 28, 2010
Requirements:

  • Enrolled in Morris Graduate School 
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity during the program at Robert Morris University
  • Dean or Assistant Dean of Graduate School Recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

Florence, Italy - Florence University of Arts

Program takes place during the Summer I quarter for seven weeks

Application Deadline Date: January 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: February 28, 2010

Requirements:
  • Art Students and Business students only
  • Sophomore level or higher
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity during the program at Robert Morris University
  • Program Director/Academic Advisor/Student Education Manager recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

Florence, Italy - Apicius Culinary Institute of Florence

Program takes place during the Fall quarter for ten weeks 

Application Deadline Date: March 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: April 3, 2010
Requirements:
  • Culinary students only
  • Junior level or higher
  • A minimum of 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Executive Director/Faculty recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

Madrid, Spain - Institute for the International Education of Students (IES)

Program takes place during the Fall quarter for ten weeks

Application Deadline Date: March 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: April 3, 2010
Requirements:

  • Sophmore level or higher
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity during the program at Robert Morris University
  • Student Advisor recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

Vienna, Austria - Institute for the International Education of Students (IES)

Program takes place during the Fall quarter for ten weeks

Application Deadline Date: March 31, 2010
Financial Aid Application Deadline Date: April 3, 2010

Requirements:
  • Sophomore level or higher
  • Completion of ENG 210 if the study abroad quarter is the last quarter of the AAS program
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA and good attendance
  • Demonstration of professionalism, along with initiative, flexibility, and maturity during the program at Robert Morris University
  • Student Advisor recommendation
  • Attend all study abroad meetings
  • Financial Aid balance must be current

Federal and state financial assistance is available for those who qualify; however, Robert Morris University institutional grants and scholarships do not apply.
