Graduating on-time and Morris Women
More...
Things worked out in the end regarding my class scheduling. I am going to graduate in mid-July of 2012. It’s exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. I enjoy my school and being a part of the RMU community. It’s also nice to finish something that I worked hard on for the past few years. Other exciting news, Morris Women has been approved by RMU as an official student organization. Lots of work and help went into organizing Morris Women and getting final approval. I thank everyone who believed in the idea and helped accomplish this goal. Now it’s time to start planning events, forums, panels, and helping the RMU community. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions about events or programs they would like to see please let me know that would be deeply appreciated. You can send an e-mail to me at rodrn222@robertmorris.edu. Other than that, just trying to survive the weather and get through the last few weeks of classes! Keep warm everyone and be safe! Cheers! Next on Real Life @ RMU
The Oscars!
A customary Sunday pastime in February, besides the Super bowl, is the Oscars. I always try to catch the Oscars, despite having other things to do, like homework and blogging. I love to watch Hollywood and all the glitz and glamour that make the Oscars entertaining. The fashions on the red carpet, which famous designer are the actors or actresses wearing, the expensive jewels that sparkle and shine, and the magic that makes Hollywood. I am not the only one who shares this fascination and interest in the Oscars. All over the city of Chicago, bars and homes are hosting Oscar parties. Attendees can dress in formal wear just like the real red carpet. This Sunday night, I am watching the Oscars with family (and no formal wear, just PJ’s).

Real Life @ RMUNinaProgram: Master of Business Administration Hometown: Chicago, IL Campus: ChicagoFinals
This quarter seems like finals are spread out over the final two weeks of the quarter. There is an overwhelming amount of work to be done in preparation for finals. As a result, there is also a great deal of stress. Just think I am juggling two classes and a full-time job. So there is going to be some stress involved there. I think I even noticed a few more grey hairs. So, how is one supposed to manage and deal with this kind of stress. Well, one way that used to help me deal with stress and test anxiety was to smoke a cigarette before the actual test (I know, I know, this is a terrible habit, but I would only smoke one before the test and throw the rest of the pack out). However, since RMU became a smoke free facility, there goes that method of stress relief. So, I looked into another method and decided to try Yoga. Yoga proved to be quite frustrating and I think caused more stress. The transitioning from Warrior pose 1 to downward dog is quite difficult. I lost my balance a few times and fell over. I now have a few bruises on my elbow and ego. Hence I quickly abandoned that method. Currently, I have yet to find a method for stress relief. I will just have to employ deep breathing methods to get me by. I wish everyone good luck on their finals! Stay tuned for upcoming events from the Morris Women! |
