Hello everybody! How was everyone's weekend? Well, by writing this blog, I have survive Black Friday! It was very crazy this year! We opened at 6:30 so I was there around 6 in the morning. Everybody was coming in and picking up the Wii Fit, Wii systems, and 360s. Within the first 3 or 4 hours, we were already at about $9,000. I believe that we finished with $21,000. It was absolutely crazy! On Saturday night, it was pretty busy as well. Luckily, it was not nearly as busy. We were able to start cleaning up the store. We had so many trade-ins! We have tons of PS2 and Xbox systems now! So, if you need one, come on down! A favorite part of Black Friday for me is all the great deals! Now, I do not have a lot of money. I also have quite a bit of credit card debt as well. But when I see deals this great I cannot pass them up! All of those 360 games and the DS game cost me only about $30. The other 3 games were buy 2 get 1 free, so they only cost me about $25. Not to mention I got a few more items off of Amazon as well. I got two games for only $50 and 2 Blu-Ray movies for only $30. It was a pretty good year for online sales. I probably should not have gotten half of these, but I know I won't regret it. So a little sports update. The Bears decided to go to their old ways and play like absolute crap Sunday night. We now are in 2nd place. If you ask me, they needed to win that game in order to win the division. I think it is now very unlikely that they will make the playoffs. This is quite upsetting. The Blackhawks have not been doing so great themselves either. They lost Wedneday night to the Sharks, Friday to the Ducks, and Saturday to the Kings. They have now slipped to the 7th playoff spot. I still have confidence in them that they will raise up, but they need to shape back up soon! I am going to the game Wednesday night, and I am expecting a win!! So I finally got around to playing a little bit of games this past week. I rented Legendary. I read the review from IGN.com and saw it received a 2.5/10. I remember seeing screenshots and movies for it and thought it looked pretty cool. So I figured I would give it a try. To be honest, it is not that bad. The game looks half way decent. It could look a lot better! It seems like they used some engine from about 3 years ago. The gameplay is an old-style FPS. The story seems very different, but quite interesting. I have not played enough to understand what is going on, but it does have my interest. If you are looking for a different FPS from the normal war games, give it a shot and see if its for you. I will, however, give this game a 4.5/10. So, I unfortunately went and saw Twilight. Let me just say, that any movie that has to do with horror, or a vampire like setting, has to be rated R. PG-13 does not work people! Yes, more people go see the movie, but they get lower scores! And if you ask me, that is what really matters! It was so bad that I cannot even begin to start talking about it. My score: 1/5 stars. Well, there we are everyone! After this blog, I do have one more left, and then my internship is over! I will probably not update as often, but I am definitely going to try to still update all of you with the latest movie and game reviews. Till Next Time! |

Hello everybody! How has everyone's first week of new classes going? This quarter is not going to be as easy as I thought it was going to be. I am in the HUM 310 class and it is just a regular english class with a lot! of work! I don't understand why I am taking this class in my final quarter. Normally, you would take a class like this during your junior year. Anyways, I am also in a Theatre Arts class. It is a very interesting class. We will be watching plays and then analyze them. It seems like it can be a lot of fun. Well in case anyone forgot, this is my last blog for my internship. It has been a great ten weeks! I have enjoyed informing everyone of what is going on in school, as well as, the newest movies and games to be released. Please feel free to ask me any questions if you see me in the hallways. I am more than happy to discuss movies, games, or just about anything. I just want to thank anyone and everyone who has read my blogs this entire time. So, thank you! I just have a couple of quick things to say and then I'm going to be on my way. Tonight I went to the Hawks game. It was awesome! The Hawks were down 2-1 early in the third period. With about 7 minutes left, the Hawks tied the game. With about 2 minutes left, they scored another one. They added an empty net goal at the end of the game to win 4-2. It was such an intense game! It was so much fun! I cannot wait to go to another game! I have a couple of reviews to finish up with. First of all, I picked up the Collector's Edition of the Blu-Ray for Wanted. First of all it is a great movie! The story is a little weak, but the action is way intense! The other items that come with it are awesome! It comes with an assassin book, 3D film reels, and a lot more. It was definitely worth the money! I also picked up Step Brothers. This has to be one of the funniest movie I have ever seen! Not to mention it looks great in high def! With all of Apatow's other films, there are plenty of special features! And they are all pretty hilarious! I picked up the new Tecmo Bowl for the DS. The gameplay is pretty sweet! The looks just ok, but the gameplay makes up for the whole thing. You are able to do a whole season to win your way all the way to the Tecmo Bowl! I feel like I am playing the old games once again. It is a lot of fun and not half bad. I give this game a 8.4/10. Once again, Thanks for everything! Good Luck to everyone! |
