About Me

I love to sing, my favorite color is hot pink, and I'm in the RMU Show Choir. I chose RMU because I love the location and that it is a private, not-for-profit university with small class sizes.

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to start off saying I want everyone to attend the RMUpalooza that my roommate Cheyenne Dinkins and her fellow Eagle Scholar members have made up for the welcome of the upcoming Freshman class. The RMUpalooza will be held Thursday, September 29 which is week one for the fall quarter. There will be food, games, live music, and many more.

Ok so to the good stuff!!  This past couples of weeks has been hectic for me I have had to do an extreme amount of important things aside from the stuff I already do. I have had to work, attend show choir events, train for this upcoming track season, go to class, buy contacts (NO MORE GLASSES FOR ME!!!), go grocery shopping, complete homework and test, and do laundry as well. Most of the tasks that needed to be done had to be completed on a same day basis in which was horrible for me because most of those days I would have to run off of 5 hours of sleep! Unfortunately I can’t complain about my sleep schedule because it is occasionally my fault for trying to stay up with my roommate and my friends throughout the week.

The life of a college student I suppose but maybe I should try to settle down a bit and attempt to get some rest.

Thanks for tuning in!

Hello Everyone!

As you know last week was my roommate Cheyenne Dinkins 20th birthday. We had so much fun. It started from the night before at 12am. I tagged her name in every social network site I had! I started to sing happy birthday to her as soon as the clock struck 12. Following me was our next door neighbor Brittany and our best friend Del’Ra Sutton.  It was great and she seemed to love it so I was happy. The next day before I went to work I taped a Happy Birthday banner on our wall as well as a crown on a chair in front of her door so that when she woke up that morning it would be the first thing she saw. Later that night, Cheyenne and a couple of friends of ours decided to go to Bennigan’s (which is a burger restaurant downtown) it was only a five minute away so we decided to walk.

Anyone who knows me or any of my friends knows that whenever were together were singing, and knowing that fact one would come to the conclusion we were definitely were singing. We began to sing Poison, and Candy Coated Rain Drops; sorry everyone but I don’t know the name of the artist. When we finally got to the restaurant the DJ began to play our favorite songs which were forcing a vocal reaction from our entire table. We even got up to dance a couple of times which of course attracted some of the other people that were dining. After we ordered and were sitting down waiting for our food to arrive, someone from another table approached our table to ask us to sing a song for their table. At first we thought it was a joke but we all got together and agreed to sing. Unknowingly after we sung a couple of songs for the man’s table he paid our entire bill.  As excited as I was for my roommates birthday I asked our hostess to announce her birthday over the intercom, the entire restaurant wished her a happy birthday after that.

My weekend was amazing and I have my roommate and friends to thank for that!
Thanks for reading everyone, have a blessed quarter and study hard!

Hello Everyone!

This is the last week of the summer quarter I’m a little sad, but also extremely excited for the fall and the winter. It’s about time to start training for track season again. I’m so excited for the season to start. Nationals are right around the corner unfortunately I’m not ready; I don’t think if it was in two weeks I would qualify for it. Just thinking about the time that I have until I train with my team is getting me even more excited for the season.

On another note, I’ve been really sleep deprived lately. The reason is because of Choir rehearsal, work, and class they are really draining me. I can’t really blame anyone but myself because I like to keep myself busy during the school year. I rarely have any free time to visit with friends and go home to visit even though my hometown is only 45 minutes away on the train. Hopefully I have enough time this weekend to see my family and to visit with some of my friends because I’m going to “Friend Withdrawal”.

Thanks for reading everyone!
