I am most proud of being able to make it to college and actually have a good experience. Graduating high school was very monumental, but I think making a smooth transition into college is what made me happy the most. I want to be successful and happy. I also want to make my mother proud and be able to give her what she has given to me.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful two weeks, because mine were amazing! I hope everyone had an amazing New Year. My New Year was good and bad at the same time. I thought my friends and I were going to this New Year party at her friend’s house, but that completely fell through. He didn’t call or text her back, so we didn't get the information to go. I thought that it was going to ruin the evening completely because there were other options we could have had instead of doing that. But, we decided that we were going to dress up and go to Navy Pier to watch the fireworks at midnight. But, by time that we all got ready and decided to go up there, it was around 11:45pm. And on top of that we heard gunshots left and right and we did not want to be on a bus on the way doing that. So we went in my room and just did a countdown and it ended up being fun regardless. The part that made it fun for me was the fact that we took a lot of pictures. That part was really fun but my iPod deleted them all (LONG STORY!) There was some pictures that we got to save but we had at least 100+ pictures that are all gone. But it is fine because it is a new year and a new chance for more pictures.

A great two weeks!

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has been having a great two weeks because as usual mine have been really hectic. This is week 6 so midterms just passed. I was a little concerned because one of my classes I have been worried about my grade. I have not checked yet but I am pretty sure that I am doing pretty well. I kinda miss home a little. I have not been seen around Christmas time.

My job has been another concern of mine too. I have not been to work since the weekend before Christmas. The Friday before Christmas I was suppose to work but did not because my phone died which made my alarm not go off. By time I called in to my job to tell them what happened they already logged it as a “no call-no show” which means that I can’t excused for missing that day. So the next day I ended up having a family emergency which called for me to go home on Christmas Eve. The store manager told me that she needed to talk to me about my attendance at work since I missed two days in a row. Therefore she told me that she needed to take my off the schedule until I could come in and talk to her. Little did I know, she wanted me to make an appointment with her. I came in right after I came back from going home for Christmas, I went to DSW. I went to talk to the manager but she told me that she wanted me to make an appointment with her to talk about things. And after that I have not been to work since. Every time that I have called to get in contact with her she is not there. She was on vacation for like two weeks so when I heard she came back I called again and then she was not there. Hopefully this does not end me losing my job but I am really trying to reach out to her.

This time that I have spent not at work has been really relaxing. I am so anal about making it on time and doing things when I got off of work so it has been crazy not working. I think that there are a lot of times when I can just sleep in and it just focus on school and it feels so good. But I really do miss working actually. But hopefully we can work it out.
