My name is Catherine Deregla. I have 7 tattoos and one day would like to go to Bangkok to have a Borneon-style tribal pattern done by a Monk while he performs a Buddhit Thai prayer while tattoo'ing me. Like the saying says "if you get one, you can't stop".
I'm currently reading "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and is amazing. I am learning so much about myself and what I can do to inspire me and my life more and more each day. If we only can be positive in our attitude and in personal life, we can accomplish anything we set out minds to. Author Bob Doyle says, "Basically put, the law of attraction says that like attracts like. But we're really talking at a level of thought" Previously on Real Life...
Change
More...
My boyfriend has been in the talks about moving to Kentucky after my graduation. I am all about change, because good change is good! I did some of my own research and found that houses are fairly cheaper than Park Ridge, where we currently live and the cost of living is about the same. Talk about prices! Houses down the street from ours range over $800,000 to $2 million ... I wonder sometimes ... anyway ... Here's a photo of a house that is for sale in Covington, KY (where we would move). It's a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, full basement, newly carpeted and has had only one owner. Price (drumroll, please) $199,500! Again, this was just my own research and come to think of it, I wouldn't mind moving ... let me know your thoughts, if you like at derec021@robertmorris.edu Hope to hear from you! -Cat Next on Real Life...

The annual Chicago Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is this June 2-3 and so excited! I have a wonderful team, which already (as of date) raised over $70,000 and since this team is spread throughout the 8 cities, and 3 cities have walked so far (Washington, Boston and soon Chicago), combined funds exceeded $340,000 and we have 5 more cities to walk! Amazing people. Amazing spirits. Amazing friends. On an RMC note, I was referred to apply for an Eagle Scholar, which I did. I turned in my application, eassy, resume and LOR's and now schedule to meet with the director and a panel of judges (i.e. American Idol type style) to give my 15-minute presentation. I tend to be a talker so 15-minutes is nothing, haha. An Eagle Scholar (taken from RMC webpage): The Eagle Scholar Program recognizes students who have achieved a level of success at the College and have demonstrated an ability to mentor other students to be successful. Eagle Scholars will help first-year students develop successful skills that will carry them through their entire college experience. This is a scholarship-supported opportunity that will enhance our students' collegiate experience. Good things are happening and feel blessed because not many opportunities come a knockin' and when they do, I welcome with arms wide open :) This Summer I Quarter is halfway through and am learning so much! I am truly, truly happy that I transferred to Robert Morris College because my experience thus far has been incredible!! I will soon post photos of my walk next week (wish me luck), until then .... |
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
April 2, 2007 Hello everyone, No presents or parties for me - I want to do something inspirational that all can benefit from. I asked collegues, friends and family to donate to my walk (and so can you!). With this walk, my team and I are walking in tribute to the memories of loved ones and in honor to those who have survived breast cancer. For me, I am walking in honor of my mother and in memory of my aunt who fought a long battled, and died at the young age of 34. |
