I am proud to say that I am on The RMU Dance Team. We have done such an amazing job so far and Iím excited for the months to come. I have been on the dance team since August and a lot has changed since then. When I first got there I wasnít as comfortable with being on the team, and it wasnít as welcoming as I thought but I came to realize that itís just because we have so many different personalities on the team.
I am kind of on the shy side when I first meet new people so I was kind of off to myself while others got accustomed to new people right away. But after a while I realized that they donít bite so I socialized and made a lot of new friends. I love our team and the different personalities. We all have a variety of different talents as well, but together we are a great team.
I also have amazing coaches. We basically have 3 coaches and they are all above and beyond with talent. I believe everything they tell me is to better me because theyíve already been through it. Our three captains are amazing dancers as well. Weíre just a great team.
I canít wait to perform for our next game which is tomorrow, and It will be televised which is great; more motivation. I love the dance team and dancing.

My break was much needed. I had a very good break and really enjoyed my Christmas. I was really surprised with the things that I got. I honestly think that I got too much, but I am very appreciative.
One thing that I am a little concerned about is, why didnít we get any snow? It felt almost like spring for Christmas. I heard that we will get hit with a huge blizzard like last year, and I am not looking forward to that at all. I hated all that snow; I hate snow, period. I do like the idea of getting a break off from school though. Robert Morris never closes and if it does because of the snow that will be news to me.
Overall I really enjoyed break and the time off. Iíve been going to school with no breaks since Sept 2010, so Iíll take any type of break that I can get. To be honest I didnít do any type of work, I just needed to relax. I think I relaxed too much though because I can back to school and forgot my locker combination, I forgot everything.
To be honest I canít wait until our next break. More free time for me, which I need. Iím sure Iím not the only college student who feels this way.

This Christmas Iím not too sure what to expect. All I know is that everything is going to be different. A lot has happened over the year and a lot has changed. I honestly cannot believe that the year is almost over. I usually tell myself that once my birthday comes around the year is almost over, but it didnít feel that way this year.
This year I am 20, next year is the big 21. I feel like the older I get the less exciting Christmas becomes. When I was younger Christmas was a huge thing. I would get excited, write a long list, and decorate the tree early and bake cookies; the whole 9 yards. This year my list was extremely short, I didnít decorate the tree and there will be no baking for me.
I used to wake up before the sun came up so that I could open my presents, but we always had to wait until my parents woke up so they could go downstairs first. This year I guarantee that I will be the last person to wake up. Iím in college and this break is essential so I need my sleep. I still wish that I was younger. Everything back then was so fun and carefree.
I feel like Iím getting old. There is no more excitement and I hate that. I love Christmas as a holiday, but my birthday took over the exciting department. I wonder if Iím the only one that feels this way. Do other people feel that getting older ceases all of the joy out of Christmas? Maybe Iíll surprise myself and see that I am still surprised. But as of now Christmas is for the younger folks and to me is another day besides the religious factor.
