Jazz Ensemble

Jazz music originated in American at the beginning of the 19th century. Since then jazz music has grown into an international art form that defies any boundaries of what it is or what it should be. Jazz music has expanded from the deep American south influences to include Chicago blues and countless other style variations such as bebop, cool, hard, modal, fusion and many more!

The Jazz Ensemble offers students the opportunity to study a wide variety of styles and influences that encompass the jazz realm while also learning basic technique to improve musicianship. The ensemble is open to both beginning and experienced players.

Scholarships are available for students who join and maintain active participation in rehearsals and performances.
