As of January 1, 2012, Robert Morris University became a tobacco-free institution of higher education. In partnering with the Respiratory Health Association of Greater Chicago, we are embarking on a campaign to create a healthy environment, minimize public health risks and improve air quality.
Why is RMU doing this? Health and wellness have a major impact on the bottom line of any business. Although Illinois' smoke-free laws reduce exposure to secondhand smoke and improve the health of employees, there are additional cost-saving strategies that will reduce tobacco use at work locations.

Are you trying to quit smoking? The Courage to Quit program through the RMU Wellness Institute is a behavioral-counseling based smoking cessation program that will be offered free of charge to RMU employees who wish to stop smoking.
