RMU Students, Athletes, Faculty and Staff Honored by RMU Board

 

On March 8, President Michael Viollt delivered a series of proclamations issued by the RMU Board of Trustees which recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of a diverse representation of the Robert Morris University community.

“These individuals help advance the College to another level in our ongoing efforts to be a college of First Choice,” President Viollt explained as he introduced the awardees, explained their achievements, and expressed the gratitude of the Board and administration.

The following individuals were honored:

 
Dr. Janet Davis, Courtney Conrad, Dr. Michael Free, Dr. Natan Mendes, Helene Conroy and Gordon Evans, for securing the accreditation of the RMU Surgical Technology Program. Dr. Janet Davis, Loleater Casey-Evans, Dr. Michael Free, and Dr. Natan Mendes, for securing the approval of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation necessary to establish the RMU School of Nursing.
   
Paula Diaz, Cherie Meador and Mick McMahon for the 10th Anniversary of the Eagles Newspaper. Jose Gavilanes, Lake County Soccer; Brittany Klink, Springfield Soccer; Bob Klosek, Chicago Cross Country; Shaunna Robertson, Chicago Softball; Marc Albano, Chicago Baseball; Jill Franz, Crystal Nuetzmann and Genelle Giblett, Lake County Golf -  RMC’s 2006 Academic All-American Athletes.
 
Sharon Brabson, Laura Henry and Ken Galvin for securing the American Bar Association approval of the RMU Paralegal Program. Sharon Brabson, Kayed Akkawi and George Meier, for the recognition of the MBA Human Resources concentration by the Society of Human Resources Management.
 
Mary Wienhoff and Alisha Kapp, for the  USCAA National Invitational Tournament Championship won by the Springfield Softball Team. Lora Timmons, Lisa Wirth and Shannon Gormley, for achieving the rank of #1 Location for Orland Park.
