MGSM provides support for students through workshops, peer discussions, and one-on-one consultation in the areas of graduate writing, informational technology, project management, and statistics. Graduate teaching assistants are available online and in the Graduate Center at the Chicago campus. Visit the Online Resource Center via Blackboard for a current offering calendar.
Great communication is the foundation for success in any business. MGSM recognizes how important communication is and holds communication improvement as one of the objectives of our programs. All students in the MGSM are required to take a communication class which allows them to hone in on their writing, speaking and ethical decision making abilities while also thinking critically about problems.
Although students take this class as part of their curriculum, the faculty of MGSM realize that communication is a skill that needs to be nurtured and developed over time. In recognition of this, we offer our students the option of writing consultancy throughout their program. Students have the ability to meet one-on-one with an instructor that specializes in communication to assist them in constantly improving their writing and communication abilities.
