Title VII Grant at RMU

In 2009 the University was awarded a $3 million Department of Education grant. Robert Morris was one of 5 institutions nationally to receive this award.

The goal of the grant is threefold:

  1. Increase enrollment in the Master’s of Information Systems program
  2. Increase the number earning a Master's Degree in Information Systems by expanding facilities and integrating new technologies and support strategies into the curriculum
  3. Expand the current scholarship program

Activities supported by the Grant:

  • New, state-of-the-art Graduate Center, including smart boards, conference rooms, and numerous MAC/PC work stations
  • MIS scholarship (for eligible students)
  • Faculty development workshops/conferences
  • Infusion of new technologies to simulate the “real world” work environment
  • Graduate Teaching Assistants that provide additional out-of-class support
