Master of Information Systems

Of all the industries out there, none change as rapidly as information technology. The most successful IT professionals don't just keep pace, they drive innovation. The Robert Morris University Master of Information Systems program teaches students to apply their knowledge of technology and skills in problem solving to meet business challenges and anticipate future needs. The curriculum provides a solid foundation of communication skills and applies them to IS applications including database management, information security, and networking.

At the completion of Robert Morris University's MIS Program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate communication strategies appropriate to professional roles.
  • Conceptualize, organize and resolve complex information system problems.
  • Evaluate the ethical and social implications of business and personal decisions..
  • Conceptualize and implement database systems to manage information in an organization.
  • Design secure network infrastructure and disaster recovery plans to protect organizational resources from internal and external threats.
