Public Notice of CCNE Accreditation Visit Invitation for Third-Party Comments

August 1, 2016

To continually ensure that our educational programs are effective, of the highest quality, and meet the established standards of undergraduate programs in nursing education, Robert Morris University - IL (RMU) is seeking initial accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE will conduct an on-site accreditation visit at RMU on Oct 3 - 5, 2016. In accordance with their Procedures for Accreditation of Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Programs, CCNE provides the opportunity for program constituents to submit, in writing, third-party comments concerning a programís qualifications for accreditation status. Third-party comments must relate to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate Nursing Programs (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation/Standards-Amended-2013.pdf), and must be signed and received at the CCNE offices by September 12, 2016. Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review RMU's program. All concerns related to the accreditation standards will be identified in the accreditation report and RMU will have an opportunity to respond to those concerns as part of its response to that report.
