Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold transferable credit from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Submit a written portfolio for review.
  • Earn a transfer GPA with a minimum of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

All admissions applications for the BPS are reviewed to ensure that each candidate possesses the foundation necessary to successfully pursue his/her requested concentration. Applicants for the Organizational Writing Concentration must have earned transferable credit from a regionally accredited institution with significant course work in writing intensive courses. The key element in acceptance will be the quality of materials in the applicant's writing portfolio.

Required Portfolio Samples:

  • An original work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry.
  • Brief personal essay discussing your interest in this degree.
  • Academic essay from high-school or transferring institution.
