To be considered for the Bachelor's of Professional Studies in Organizational Writing, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold an Associate of Arts, an Associate of Science, or an Associate in Applied Science Degree from a regionally accredited institution. 
  • Submit a written portfolio for review.
  • Earn a transfer GPA with a minimum of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

All admissions applications for the BPS are reviewed to ensure that each candidate possesses the foundation necessary to successfully pursue his/her requested concentration.  Applicants for the Organizational Writing Concentration must have earned an associate's degree with significant course work in writing intensive courses.  The key element in acceptance will be the quality of materials in the applicant's writing portfolio. 

REQUIRED PORTFOLIO SAMPLES:

  • An original work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry.
  • Brief personal essay discussing your interest in this degree.
  • Academic essay from high-school or transferring institution.
