So busy!

It has been awhile since I have created a new blog post. Things have been so hectic with the holidays and having family in town - not to mention, I have a new baby in my life! But now that we are firmly in the new year, things have started to calm down and I feel back in the game :).
The Winter quarter is already 1/2 over - that has absolutely flown by. As I have mentioned previously, this ma

First week back to school!

Back to School, Back to School, just to prove I'm not a fool. Last week was the first week back for everyone at RMU after a whole week off. I know, thats a very very long time, lol!
The first week back to school is always the most interesting to me. You have the freshmen that get lost and can never figure out where their class is, or the most common- where the

Tribute to Single Working Moms

WORK-LIFE BALANCE....is there such a thing? I am starting to think it is a made up notion to give us working parents, especially single mothers a glimpse of hope. How does one do it? Get up, get ready for work, get child(ren) ready for school, go to work, get bombarded with other tasks that were not on the to-do list, leave work, get home, eat dinner, try to spend quality time with child(ren)

Hi Everyone,
My First couple of track meets was great!!! For my first meet I was extremely nervous because I felt greatly unprepared. At the most recent track meet I came to compete. I participated in the Long Jump (which happens to be my specialty). Unfortunately I finished with second place under my competition. I managed to jump 5.20 meters; the mark to qualify for Nation

So we are at the halfway point of the quarter. Time is really flying. As you know I am doing my externship this quarter. It had been an interesting experience. I think I have come a long way to where I am now. I have had some tough days but I have pushed through those days and I try to keep going. No job is easy and every job has work but as long as you are doing the things you love, you should be

Things are looking good for a while!

Once again life has shown that as soon as things are looking good for a while, here comes the curveball. For the next few weeks I’m looking at major oral discomfort. What was supposed to be a regular trip to the dentist for a teeth cleaning turned into tooth extraction. Sure, it’s something annoying to deal with, but the thing I’m really upset about is that this all happened the day AFTER Labor Da

Finals
More...

This quarter seems like finals are spread out over the final two weeks of the quarter. There is an overwhelming amount of work to be done in preparation for finals.
As a result, there is also a great deal of stress. Just think I am juggling two classes and a full-time job. So there is going to be some stress involved there. I think I even noticed a few more grey hairs.
So, ho

As we all know it is finals week, and I just want to wish everyone good luck. So far I’ve taken a Fitness final and I think that went pretty well. Our teacher makes the test right from the study guide so if you didn’t study then you won’t really pass. This final exam was practically word for word from the final study guide and I had did it the night before. I know you shouldn’t procrastinate but s

Super bowl 46- Yesterday was one of the biggest sports events in American history. It was super bowl 46, which starred the New England patriots and the New York giants. The game was neck and neck the entire time!!!!! Madonna, Niki Minaj, M.I.A. and Cee-Lo Green were among the many performers. The news and opinion on the web shortly after was that their performance was nothing to be mentioned. On a

It’s that time of the quarter again the final 4 week stretch. It is always a stressful time because it seems like work just piles up on you at once. I believe in taking it slow and easy. Personally, I have been working very hard. It is still an up-down process but, then again that is life. Homework, exams, quizzes, pop quizzes, etc are really exciting! I actually got a compliment on my impro

A great two weeks!

Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone has been having a great two weeks because as usual mine have been really hectic. This is week 6 so midterms just passed. I was a little concerned because one of my classes I have been worried about my grade. I have not checked yet but I am pretty sure that I am doing pretty well. I kinda miss home a little. I have not been seen around Christmas time.
