Women's Softball - Chicago NAIA
Under Head Coach Megan Smith Eggert, the Lady Eagles had a landmark season in 2007 as their quartet of All-CCAC players--senior Nikki Schade, junior Danielle Ferlito, sophomore Jessica Razim, and freshman Amanda Lite--led them to over thirty victories, the most wins in a season in the history of the program. On the way to qualifyng for the NAIA Region VII Tournament for the first time since 2000, RMC tied the record for most runs in a game when they plated thirty against Mt. Mary College (WI). Their 13-5 record in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference was good enough for third in the conference, the highest finish ever for RMC. They were the surprise of the regional as they upset the top three seeds to reach the championship game before bowing out a single win from a berth in the NAIA Softball World Series. With only two seniors on the roster and a bevy of exciting recruits coming to the program, the 2008 season could be even more exciting.
