Eagles second at 2005 USCAA Invitational!
With four schools competing for the 2005 USCAA Women's Invitational Championship, the winner would be determined based on round-robin competition.
After dropping their opener against Southern Virginia 1-0, the Lady Eagles needed a victory against New Hampshire Technical Institute. Freshman All-American forward Rachel Simmons would lead the charge with a goal and an assist as Robert Morris defeated NHTI 2-1.
The Eagles played to a 2-2 tie against St. Mary of the Woods to take second place. Freshman All-American midfielder Mallory Hamlin scored both goals for Robert Morris which finishes their season with a 10-4-2 record overall and #2 in the USCAA.

Eagles accept bid to USCAA National Tournament!
The Lady Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 9-3-1 and await their seed for the 2005 USCAA National Tournament. The Lady Eagles finished #2 in the latest USCAA Women's Soccer Poll behind #1 Dallas.
Eagles improve to 8-3-1!
With weekend victories over Mount Mary of Wisconsin and St. Mary's of the Woods, the Eagles improve to 8-3-1. RMC defeated MMC on Friday 7-0 led by Rachel Simmons one goal and three assist. Sarah Dorsey recorded the shut-out. On Saturday, Amy Purves led the Eagles over the visiting Pomeroys of St. Mary's of the Woods. Purves scored two goals and freshman Mallory Hamlin added a goal and an assist.

Lady Eagles defeated on the road!
After a week and half off due to cancellations caused by Hurricane Rita, the Lady Eagles had the daunting task of traveling to face NCAA DII opponent Upper Iowa. For 80-minutes the Eagles played some positive soccer, but a span of 10-minutes witnessed 4 goals by the host. Rachel Simmons scored for RMC with the assist by Michelle Oldani.
Games Canceled!
Due to recent events and forecasts for Hurricane Rita, the Lady Eagles have canceled their trip to Texas for two games. At this point no rescheduled date has been confirmed.
Lady Eagles roll to victory!
Visiting Alverno College from Wisconsin faced an uphill challenge from the opening whistle. Rattled by injuries, they were forced to play short-handed the entire match. Scoring for RMC; Rachel Simmons (2), Katie Kuhns (2), Michelle Oldani (2), Lisa Sanderson, Brittany Gronau and Deborah Beckman. Sarah Dorsey recorded the shut-out.

Once again, after a strong start, the Lady Eagles of Springfield are the #1 ranked team in the current USCAA rankings.

Lady Eagles win thriller in OT!
Amy Purves (sophomore; Springfield, IL) wasted little time as she scored less than 4 minutes into over-time. After racing down the right flank Lisa Sanderson (sophomore; Aston, WY) slipped a through ball to Purves who struck it one-time over Delta State's GK. Rachel Simmons (freshman; Springfield, IL) tallied first for the Eagles in the 33rd minute.
Eagles top MacMurray!
The Lady Eagles rolled to a 6-1 victory over visiting MacMurray. Mallory Hamlin, Dawn Goldsberry, Brittany Kink, Rachel Simmons, Katie Kuhns and Amy Purves eached scored goals for RMC.
Eagles split two on the road!
Dropping their first against Louisiana Tech, the Lady Eagles rebounded to defeat Arkansas Pine Bluff 4-0.
Goal score's for the Lady Eagles in their victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff were Rachel Simmons (2), Mallory Hamlin and Katie Kuhns. Simmons also recorded an assist along with Brittany Gronau and Amy Purves. GK Sarah Dorsey recorded 8 saves.
Eagles face tough challenge in 2005 pre-season exhibition!
The Lady Eagles of Springfield will face perennial NJCAA in the pre-season exhibition game located at the SASA Soccer Complex. SWIC, Southwestern Illinois College, will visit RMC on Saturday, August 20th. Game time is 1:00pm.
Stated Coach Phillips, "playing a caliber a team as SWIC is a good measuring stick to where we need to be or need to improve upon!"
