Women's Cross Country "Runner of the Week"

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Patty Schaefer (Springfield, IL) is the USCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Patty ran in the Robert Morris Univeristy Invitational meet and finished second overall with a time of 22:08.

Eagles' take second place in inaugural meet!
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Co-hosting their first ever meet with Benedictine University in Springfield, the RMU Lady Runners captured second place falling just short of meet winner Illinois College. Two of our Lady Eagles captured Top 7 places. Patty Schaefer was second to meet winner Julia Wykoff from Illinois College, and Brandi Bradley placed fourth.

JACKSONVILLE, IL - Despite not achieving the team result that Coach Schappaugh was aiming for, quite a few of the Lady Eagles' runners posted personal best at the Illinois College 6k on Saturday, Oct. 15th.

ELSAH, IL - Participating in their 4th meet as a program, the RMU Lady Eagles posted some impressive times and team result in the 5K Cowbell Classic Invitational hosted by Principia College on October 7, 2011. The Lady Eagles finished 5th out of 8 teams participating.

Lady Eagles place 20th in programs first meet!
BLOOMINGTON, IL - The RMU-Springfield Lady Eagles placed 20th out of 22 in the Illinois State Women's Collegiate Cross Country bracket on Friday, September 16th. This was the teams first official meet as a program.
Several of the Lady Eagles faired well with their individual times that witnessed a meet packed with over 230 runners.

The Lady Eagles will compete for their first time as a team on Friday, Sept. 16 when they participate at the Illinois State University Championships.
College invite set for late October 2011!
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Springfield's two college cross county programs have teamed up to host an invitational in late October. The five-team meet will take place on October 22 at Lewis Memorial Acres on Springfield's west side.
This is the inaugural season for RMU. This marks the second year for Benedictine University at Springfield's program.
