Following on the heels of their three-peat to the United State Bowling Congress National Collegiate Team Championships and a third place finish in the 2009-2010 finals, the Robert Morris Women's Bowling team begins their sixth year of intercollegiate competition with high expectations.
The 2009-2010 season was also highlighted by a fifth place finish by junior All-American Heather D'Errico (Rochester, NY) at the USBC Singles Championships. In addition, the Lady Eagle Bowlers placed in the top five in numerous tournaments as well as winning both the Boilermaker Classic and Warhawk Open.
D'Errico along with Samatha Kelly (Hoffman Estates, IL) and Elisa Rivera (Cicero, IL) will anchor a very experienced and talented group of bowlers for RMU. The Eagles will be a heavy favorite to make a run at the 2010-2011 USBC Team National Championship held in Columbus, GA.
Students athletes interested in intercollegiate bowling should contact RMU Coach Dale Lehman at 312-217-5736 or RMU-Lake County Associate Athletic Director Bob Franz at 847-578-5279 for more details.
