Murphy named CCAC Libero of the Year, joins Joyce & Kluczynski on All-Conference team!

Chicago, IL - Their record-setting season may have come to an end in the conference tournament semi-finals, but the Robert Morris Women's Volleyball team had one more order of business before closing the books on 2010: Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Honors.  The Lady Eagles were well represented on the All-Conference rolls as senior Amber Murphy was named Libero of the Year.  She was joined on the All-Conference team by sophomore Melissa Joyce and junior Hilary Kluczynski.

Murphy, a senior from Rancho Rio, NM (pictured above at right), finished the season with over 700 digs--good enough to rank 14th in the nation--as she anchored the Lady Eagles' backline.

Joyce (Chicago, IL) was the top all-around player in the Conference with over 300 kills, nearly 400 digs, and 449 assists.  Kluczynski (Riverside, IL) was named to the All-Conference team for the second time as she reached a number of career milestones, topping 500 kills, 2000 assists, and 800 digs.

The Lady Eagles finished the season 27-13, the best mark in the program's history.  They posted a nine-game winning streak, also the best ever for an RMU Women's Volleyball team, and won two weekend tournaments.

Expectations are high for the 2011 season as only four seniors will be lost to Coach Lauren Joyce Hensel.
