Hoosier Elizabeth Hoffer set to swim for Eagles!
Chicago, IL - The Robert Morris Swimming team has a top-flight sprint swimmer with the signing of Elizabeth Hoffer of Plymouth, IN.
The 5'9 freshman qualified for the Indiana State Meet as part of the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay. She also set three school records during her career for Coach Bob Garrity's Pilgrims, posting Plymouth best times in the 100-Meter Backstroke, the 200-Meter Medley, and the 200-Meter Freestyle.
The daughter of Jim and Cheri Hoffer, the newest Lady Eagle will pursue a Bachelor's of Busniess Administration at the College's Chicago Loop Location.
"We're building a solid squad with some great prep experience," says RMU Coach Justin Merris. "Elizabeth has competed at a high level during her high school career. She's a great addition to our team as we head into our first season of NAIA competition."
The Robert Morris Women's Swimming and Diving team will begin NAIA competition in the 2008-2009 season. Their home meets will be held at the John Street Natatorium, part of the Redmond Athletic Complex in Bensenville, IL, home venue of Eagle Softball, Baseball, Men's & Women's Soccer, and Women's Lacrosse. The Men's & Women's Hockey teams play their home games across the street at the Edge Ice Arena.
Robert Morris is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and competes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles field teams in twenty-one men's and women's sports. The College also belongs to the Unites States Bowling Congress-Collegiate Division, the American Collegiate Hockey Association, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and the United Dance Association.
