Robert Morris has called upon a familiar name to take the helm of its Men's Soccer program as the Eagles shift their National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics affiliated team from
Truty brings a wealth of experience to the position. A 1995 graduate of Aurora University (IL), Truty played professional soccer in the United States International Soccer League and the A-League. He has coached at the high school, college, and club levels. For five seasons he served as an assistant under RMC Women's Soccer Head Coach Kurt Melcher, helping the Lady Eagles to five straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships and four straight NAIA Region VII titles.
"Jake was a big part of our success," says Coach Melcher. "I know he'll be working to make our men's program as successful as our women's program has been."
In 2006, Truty concentrated on his club coaching duties with the Chicago Sockers. He holds a number of coaching certifications, including United States Soccer Federation B-Level Coaching License.

Coach Truty says he will develop a training program tailored to each player, focusing on technique, fitness, function, and tactics. "Our players will have every opportunity to maximize their abilities," he says. "That's the best way for each individual player to help pave the way for the team's success."
