Annual Alumni Game Scheduled!
The Robert Morris-Springfield Eagles have scheduled their annual Alumni Game for Saturday, January 3 @ The Franklin Nelson Center, Rink 2 located at Lincoln Park.
Puck drops at 7:00pm.
Missouri State edges Eagles!
David Long (sophomore; Decatur, IL) scored two goals and had an assist for Robert Morris-Springfield, but Missouri State University beat the Eagles 4-3 on Friday, December 12, 2008.
State came into the game ranked fifth in the nation in the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
Eagles goalie Jairon Walk (sophomore; Bloomington, IL) made 71 saves on 75 shots but gave up the winning goal with just 1:43 to play in the game. Jairon was also named "Player of the Game."
Robert Morris recorded 32 shots in the game.
Missouri State defeated the Eagles 9-2 in Saturday's game.
Eagles 1-2 at Showcase!
Robert Morris-Springfield got a goal and an assist from J.J. Pyatt (senior; Pekin, IL) in a 7-2 loss Sunday, Nov. 16 to Northern Illinois University.
Pyatt's first-period goal was assisted by Chad Ziebol (freshman; Ames, IA).
Will Glick (freshman; Fort Wayne, IN) scored a third-period goal for the Eagles off assists from Pyatt and Derrick Brown (junior; Granite City, IL).
The Springfield Eagles defeated Robert Morris-Peoria 7-4 on Friday evening before losing to Robert Morris-Maroon 4-8 on Saturday.
Robert Morris-Springfield is now 6-13 for the season.
Iowa defeats Robert Morris-Springfield!
Kyle Jacobs' two goals helped the University of Iowa beat Robert Morris 8-4 Saturday.
Robert Morris' J.J. Pyatt (senior; Pekin, IL) had a hat trick and was assisted on each of his goals by Will Glick (freshman; Fort Wayne, IN).
Chad Ziebol (freshman; Ames, IA) also scored for the Eagles.
Iowa also defeated Robert Morris 5-2 on Friday. Glick and Derrick Brown (junior; Granite City, IL) scored for the Eagles.
Ferguson lifts Eagles!
Robert Morris-Springfield avenged Friday's loss to Illinois State by posting a 5-1 win over the Redbirds on Saturday at the Nelson Center.
Illinois State had beaten the Eagles 5-4 Friday.
Dan Ferguson (sophomore; Normal, IL) led Robert Morris on Saturday, scoring two goals.
Will Glick (freshman; Fort Wayne, IN) and Eric Henderson (sophomore; Sherman, IL) each had a goal and an assist, and Ross Williams (sophomore; Bedford, TX) also scored for the Eagles.
Derrick Brown (junior; Granite City, IL) and David Long (sophomore; Decatur, IL) had two assists apiece.
Glick's four goals boost Eagles!
Will Glick (freshman; Fort Wayne, IN) scored four goals and had an assist Saturday to lead Robert Morris-Springfield to a 10-2 win over the University of Michigan-Flint at The Nelson Center.
It was the second straight night the Eagles defeated Michigan-Flint. Robert Morris got goals from Chad Ziebol (freshman; Ames, IA) and Michael Sugden (freshman; West Allis, WI) in a 6-3 victory Friday.
On Saturday, Robert Morris' J.J. Pyatt (senior; Pekin, IL) had two goals and four assists, and Nate Murray (freshman; Wadsworth, IL) and Derek Lewis (freshman; Springfield, IL) scored a goal apiece.
The Eagles outshot Flint 55-33.

USCAA Announces Spring All-Academic Team – Non USCAA Sport!
National All-Academic Team (Non-USCAA Sport) are those student athletes, participating in a sport for which the USCAA does not recognize a National Championship, who maintain a 3.5 GPA or above.
