Springfield Eagles recognized on post-season teams!

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced their post-season award teams at the 2011 Basketball Championships taking place in Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

Eagles use three-pronged attack!
LANSING, MI - Robert Morris University's Trey David (33 points), Tim Tarver (28) and Anthony Patton (21; pictured) combined for 82 points Friday ina 94-87 victory over Great Lakes Christian College.
Following a 40-all deadlock at the half, Robert Morris outscored Great Lakes 54-47 in the second half. The Eagles shot 53.9% from the field.
Eagles fall short against LCU!
SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Robert Morris University Eagles squandered an 11-point halftime lead and fell 83-76 to the Lincoln Christian University Red Lions on Tuesday.
Robert Morris shot 61.8 percent from the field in the first half, and hit 4 of 8 3-pointers. But the Eagles went cold in the second half, shooting only 36.4 percent and making 2 of 11 shots from beyond the arc.
Tim Tarver (junior; East Chicago, IL) and Trey David (junior; Mapleton, IL; pictured) had 24 points apiece for Robert Morris, which committed 21 turnovers.
Kyle Rust had 20 points and seven rebounds for Lincoln Christian.
Eagles' rally past MacMurray!
JACKSONVILLE, IL - Robert Morris University scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes 20 seconds to edge the MacMurray College Highlanders 76-73 in a non-conference game.
Down 70-66, Tim Tarver (junior; East Chicago, IL; pictured below right) hit a jumper with 2:20 to play to get
the Eagles (7-3) within two points. Cody Best hit a 2 for MacMurray, and then the Highlanders turned on the defense, grabbing a rebound off a missed RMU shot, making a steal and forcing a turnover, all while holding the Eagles scoreless for nearly a minute.
Tarver hit another bucket with 1:31 to play to make the score 72-70 and then made an assist on Brady Smith's (sophomore; Athens, IL) tying shot with just over a minute to play. Anthony Patton (junior; Merrillville, IN) got a rebound to set up the game-tying play.
Myles Harvell (freshman; Springfield, IL) made a 2-pointer that put the Eagles in the lead 74-72 with 30 seconds to play. Tarver grabbed a rebound to set up that play, and Patton dished the assist.
After a free throw got MacMurray within a point with 5 seconds to play, Patton drained two free throws with :04 left to secure the win for the Eagles.
Patton and Steve White (senior; Milwaukee, WI) scored 15 points apiece for the Eagles; Harvell added 13 and Tarver tallied 12 points.
White led RMU with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
White leads 2010-2011 unbeaten Eagles! 
TULSA, OK - Steve White (senior; Milwaukee, WI; pictured right) scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds Thursday to lead Robert Morris University to a 70-61 win over Rhema Bible.
White made 9-of-12 shots as RMU shot 53.1% (26 of 49) from the field. Trey David (junior; Mapleton, IL) added 17 points and Anthony Patton (junior; Merrillville, IN) scored 15 points for the Eagles (3-0).
The Eagles win over Rhema Bible jump-starts their season record to 3-0 after capturing the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Classic on November 6th.
Davis and Patton receive USCAA Post-Season Awards!
UNIONTOWN, PA - At the 2010 USCAA Basketball Championships Banquet hosted by Penn State-Fayette in Uniontown, PA, the 2010 USCAA Post-Season Awards were announced. Two members of the Robert Morris University Men's Basketball Team received recognition.
2010 USCAA National Academic Team
Anthony Patton (sophomore; Merrillville, IN) - Anthony "Bo" was recognized to the USCAA National Academic Team for achieving higher than a 3.5 GPA. This is Bo's first National Academic Award. To be eligible, a USCAA Student-Athlete must be at sophomore standing or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
2010 USCAA 1st Team All-American
Ephrem Davis (senior; Bolingbrook, IL) - This is the second consecutive season that Ephrem has been named a 1st Team All-American. In 2009-2010, Ephrem led the nation field goal percentage (60%), rebounds per game (10.86), blocked shots per game (4.86) and double-doubles (15).
