After a successful inaugural campaign, Mark Rabideau begins his second year as RMC-Springfield Head Coach. Coach Rabideau has 15 years of coaching experience, 12 of those in baseball. His baseball coaching experience includes stints at NCAA Division III Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL and Ursuline Academy in Springfield, IL. Coach Rabideau spent four years as Head Baseball Coach at Illinois College from 1986-1990, where he also served as the Offensive Coordinator for the football program. During his time with Ursuline academy, Coach Rabideau wore many ‘hats’ as Head Baseball Coach, Athletic Director, Dean of Students, and Golf Coach. Coach Rabideau stepped away from Ursuline after seven years in 1999 to pursue an administrative position. Overall, Coach Rabideau has compiled 152 wins as a head baseball coach.
Coach Rabideau’s philosophy is that winning baseball games is accomplished through sound pitching and defense. Coach Rabideau vows to stress fundamentals in all aspects of the game. Rabideau believes that you not only need good athletes to make your program successful, but they must be just as motivated to succeed in the classroom as well as on the baseball diamond. Rabideau says he wants quality student-athletes that will represent Robert Morris in the highest standard on and off the baseball diamond.
Coach Rabideau received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1982 from the University of Mississippi and his Master’s Degree from Illinois State University in 1986. He currently works as Dean of Students and Physical Education Teacher in the Panhandle School District.
Assistant Baseball Coach: Jason Richno
Coach Richno also begins his second year with RMC-Springfield. A 1996 graduate of Ursuline Academy, Coach Richno joined the Ursuline coaching staff as an assistant to present Robert Morris head coach Mark Rabideau. Coach Richno will be responsible for coaching the outfielders, baserunning, hitting, and also coach first base. Coach Richno established himself as a valuable asset to the Robert Morris baseball program working as a volunteer during the 2005-2006 recruitment season. He played a large role in securing the signings of RMC’s first baseball class. Coach Richno played a similar successful role with this year’s equally talented class.
As a player at Ursuline Academy, Coach Richno posted career stats of .325 batting average, .488 slugging percentage, .422 on-base average and a fielding average of .967 as an outfielder. He was also a relief pitcher during his senior season.

Coach Roth brings a vast knowledge of the game to the RMC staff. He will work primarily with pitchers and catchers, while also assisting with defensive strategy. Coach Roth’s ability to evaluate young prospects is a valuable asset he brings to the recruiting piece of his position.
Coach Roth has been involved in baseball most of his life. As a player, he excelled at first and third base, while also seeing some time in the outfield and behind the plate.
