Coach Mrugala begins his fourth season with Coach Kashirsky at Robert Morris University. Jon was also the infield coach with Coach Kashirsky at Moraine Valley ommunity College for 2 years. During their tenure, the MVCC Cyclones won 30 games each year including a school record 39 in their second season, and were also named Sauk Valley Sectional Champions. Coach Mrugala and Coach Kashirsky also coach together during the summer, as Jon just completed his first season as Bullpen Coach for the Windy City Thunderbolts. The Thunderbolts were the 2010 Eastern Division Champions of the Frontier League.

Jon played high school baseball at Oak Lawn Community High School, and continued his playing career at Saint Joseph's College in Indiana. Coach Kashirsky was on staff st SJC in Renselear, IN during Jon's freshman season. Coch Mrugala was also selected to play on a hand-picked team which represented the USA in China and Australia.
